TCC Kids is the children’s ministry of Treasuring Christ Church.  We love kids and love pointing them to Jesus! We love getting to hang out with them on a weekly basis in our Kids Classes on Sunday mornings and through other special events and ministry opportunities.

Mission

We exist to multiply disciples, by partnering with parents, who delight in, declare and display the gospel in all of life and for the good of our community (our broad church mission statement).

In Kids Ministry, this means we are working to foster delight — they cannot declare and display the gospel if they first do not know and love God personally. We continually invite kids to “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8). Week after week, we draw out their “Wow God!!!” moments. We are working to form a solid foundation of the gospel and their need for a Savior, joyful worship, Biblical literacy and theological rootedness, personal devotion, and connection to the local church.

As we fuel their delight, we are also showing them how to walk with God and live out the gospel (declaring and displaying).

Partnering with Parents

Additionally, as a Kids Ministry, we are committed to partner with parents or guardians to make disciples of the next generation. We are passionate about family discipleship and want to equip parents with the tools and encouragement needed to faithfully point kids to Jesus.

The Bible teaches us that parents play a vital role in teaching the next generation about the Lord (Deut. 6, Eph. 6, 2 Tim. 1). However, family discipleship isn’t a one-size-fits-all program. It varies from family to family and is unique based on the particular circumstances they may be facing. At TCC Kids, we want to come alongside parents with tools to help them craft their own unique approach.

We recognize that not every child comes from a traditional home or family. Please know that it’s okay if that’s you. All are welcome at TCC Kids! While we put emphasis on supporting parents in discipling their children, we are here to support and disciple every child from all backgrounds. It’s our greatest privilege to point them to Christ each week.

Sundays for kids at TCC

Sundays are our favorite days of the week! We offer fun, high energy, age-based classes for children ages birth through middle school at 9:15 AM during our Equip Class hour.

Worship Care takes place during the morning worship service every Sunday. Our TCC parents and other church members volunteer once a month to care for our young children during this time. During this time, children are taught a Bible Story and have a simple activity to reinforce what they are learning during Equip Class.

Safety

At TCC Kids, we take safety very seriously All volunteers in our Kids Classes have received a criminal background check, regular training and supervision, and we always have at least one volunteer in each classroom that has completed a Sexual Abuse Prevention Training. Each week, we also have a safety supervisor on duty wearing a walkie-talkie connected to each classroom and doing regular rounds. We gladly accommodate allergies and children with different abilities.
