Ephesians 4:11-13 instructs the leaders of the church “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.” Equip Classes aim to cultivate this kind of culture in the life of Treasuring Christ Church. Each class is intended to equip and strengthen our church to further multiply disciples who delight in, declare and display the gospel. Through one night, multi-week, and weekend formats, Equip Classes provide numerous opportunities to grow as a Christian and as a disciplemaker so that together we can be faithful to the mission God has given us as a church.

Christ-Centered Sanctification

In his letter to the Colossians, Paul writes to encourage believers to put Christ at the center of their lives. Believers are united to Christ in his death and resurrection. Now that his readers have been given new life in Christ, Paul wants them to walk in Christ on the path of Christian maturity.

In this short series, we’ll look at the topic of sanctification in the book of Colossians and how Paul encourages his readers in becoming more like Jesus.

Core Class: Christian Story - Understanding the Storyline of the Bible

The Bible is the true story of the world. Yet, we often view the Bible as a series of disconnected short stories rather than one unified narrative that reveals God's purpose for us and all of creation.

Over four weeks, we will look at the four major aspects of the storyline of the Bible: 1) Creation, 2) Fall, 3) Redemption, and 4) New Creation. Through this Equip Class, we want to deepen your understanding of the Bible and how to live in light of God’s story.

Family Discipleship 101

TCC Kids wants to partner with parents to make disciples of the next generation. Family discipleship in the home is a central part of this vision. But how (and why) in the world do parents teach their kids about Jesus? What does that even look like practically through various stages of childhood? What are we aiming for and how do we know we are doing it well?

Listen in on our Q&A with Marty as think through some of these questions and how to navigate the foundational elements of a Christ-centered home and family discipleship.

How Do I Lead Myself Spiritually?

We often think about how others lead us spiritually but how often do we consider how we are leading ourselves? Join us as we discuss how each of us can lead ourselves to grow spiritually by considering the ways that God has set before us for spiritual growth. We will be doing an in depth look at the book - Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus through the Spiritual Disciplines.

Help Me Study the Bible

Studying the Bible is essential to growing as a follower of Christ. However, that doesn’t mean it’s always easy to understand the Bible. If we are honest, we all struggle in this area or just desire to get more out of our Bible reading. This Equip Class aims to help encourage you in studying the Bible by 1) providing a helpful overview of how to interpret and apply the Bible and 2) giving you a simple and memorable tool (7 Arrows) to help you study any passage from the Bible.

Relational Evangelism in Everyday Life

Too often we feel nervous, guilty or awkward when they think about sharing our faith with friends and family. It doesn’t have to be this way. This equip class aims to to help believers know how to talk about Jesus in their normal lives and everyday conversations.
