Easter Art Challenge- Family Discipleship Opportunity
At Home Activity During Holy Week - Due Sunday, March 31 (Easter Sunday)
Each year, TCC Kids hosts the Easter Art Challenge. This is a fun way for our kids and families to celebrate and remember Holy Week. We pray it gets you in the Scriptures together, facilitates some fun moments, and sparks meaningful conversation.
How it works:
GET YOUR ART PAPER ON MARCH 17, each child wishing to participate in the challenge can pick up a large sheet of watercolor paper at the Kids Check In at church.
STUDY THE PASSAGE - At home, read the passage and figure out how you could depict your scene creatively. Each class level will be assigned a different scene from Holy Week to depict.
Babies/ Toddlers (0-2 years): The Resurrection
Preschool (3-Pre-K): Jesus dies on the cross
Kindergarten thru 2nd Grade: Palm Sunday, Jesus entering Jerusalem
3rd-5th Grade: Maundy Thursday events— Lord’s Supper, Praying in the Garden of Gethsemane
Middle School: The arrest and trials of Jesus
GET CRAFTY AS A FAMILY - Be creative and use whatever medium you wish (you don't have to use the watercolor paper). Use Legos, clay, or other creative medium! The sky is the limit!
BRING BACK YOUR ARTWORK TO DISPLAY IN OUR KIDS ART GALLERY- Bring your creations to church on Easter Morning (March 31st) to have it put on display in our Kids Art Gallery for church members and guests to enjoy!
PRIZES FOR PARTICIPANTS
Every child who participates will receive a participation ribbon and small prize from the Kids Ministry Treasure Box.
